The label based in Varese, Italy, was founded by successful husband-and-wife team, Ottavio 'Tai' and Rosita Missoni in 1953.  Missoni is one of the world's best-known and loved fashion names - a true icon of Italian fashion.

Ottavio and Rosita's three children all joined the family business.  Tragically the eldest son, Vittorio, (Marketing Director) dissapeared in a plane crash, January 2013. Founder, Ottavio Missoni died months later on 1 May 2013, after celebrating his 60th wedding Anniversary.

Rosita's daughter, Angela has been Creative Director, since 1998, opening flagships in New York and Paris and extending her parents original vision to encompass Missoni designs for an entire lifestyle.

 

The latest venture....Missoni's iconic contemporary design for Luxury Group, Missoni Hotel in Edinburgh, Oman, Brazil, and Turkey opening in 2013.
